Gratefulness ritual with Beronica

Dec 05, 21

This ritual was powerful because of its simplicity. It goes straight to the core of all virtues: gratefulness. Taking a moment to stand still, become aware of the gifts we receive and sharing space and time to connect with each other about this. It was a very special way to end our last day together.

Beronica, maestra de cacao

Beronica is a real cacao warrior. She learned working with cacao and the dynamics of growing food from her grandmother (abuela) from a young age. She now applies all this knowledge to create a beautiful product and care for the lush farm. Giving to the land from love and being grateful to what the land gives back.

Shaping your own ceremony

In a ceremony we bow to our inner self. We honour the life that flows through us and to which directions it leads us. The benefits of a ceremony or using cacao as a plant medicine often create the urge to share. The blissful feeling, deeper connection to ourselves, aligned with our heart, intentions and vision to manifest our dreams, unravelling triggers, emotions and patterns.

The Power of Rituals

Through Pure Kakaw we love to learn and share about living our life to its fullest potential. Rituals are part of life, in many forms, and can support us in many ways.

After talking a lot about this topic and feeling into it we keep getting back to one main point: rituals help us to be fully present and give meaning to our lives.

Hike to Machu Picchu (good memories)

There is much less known of cacao used by the Incas and natives of Peru compared to the Aztec and Maya cultures. But there was definitely cacao. The rare Chuncho variety was first cultivated by the Machiguenga people in these areas. We are very grateful that we can source cacao from these special lands. It is easy to imagine how cacao was used as a powerful and healthy food source.
