Cacao for Work & Creativity

FOCUS - FLOW - VISIONING

Boost your focus & creativity

Our fascination with cacao started with the effect that it has on our body and mind. Even more how it can support us in daily life, for example by increasing our focus and creative flow.

The natural ingredients in cacao are quite fascinating. A known effect of pure cacao is how it helps to ‘get in the flow’. This makes it an especially interesting drink for work, next to coffee and tea. Whether you need focus in your own work bubble or connect to create something with your team.

Brain boosting recipe: 22gr cacao + turmeric + black pepper + coconut oil + 175ml hot (70°C) water. Blend into a frothy drink for the perfect serve.

Ideas when to use cacao:

⤖ Focus into your flow - create a 2h work bubble
⤖ Morning energizer
⤖ Brainstorm or creative session
⤖ Team or client meeting
⤖ Pick-me-up in the afternoon

Cacao for creativity and work

Ritual & Intention

We enjoy preparing a cacao drink as a little ritual. It helps us to be present in the moment and prepares our mind for what we want to do next. It makes us more efficient and improves results.

Why does cacao work?

Different active ingredients (like theobromine) increase energy and focus, but doesn’t give the peak and dip like caffeine. Cacao positively affects various neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, anandamide and phenylethylamine, works against stress and is a natural antidepressant. Cacao is very rich in antioxidants and minerals like magnesium that our brain needs to function well. Read more on our health & benefits page.

Science, tradition and nature

Most of our inspiration comes from traditional uses in Mayan and Aztec cultures, which we combine with research and own experiences. We personally select and import cacao from beautiful origins, and build long lasting relationships with farmers. Through agroforestry and organic farming we support natural ecosystems and biodiversity with a healthy product.

Sidenotes: For an early night sleep, don’t drink cacao late in the evening.
Drink enough water as cacao is slightly dehydrating. In general, always drink enough water.
