Rooibos is made from the leaves and twigs of the Aspalathus linearis plant. It originates from South Africa 🇿🇦, contains healthy substances and is usually prepared as a tea (officially it’s actually not a tea). But it can be used in different kinds of recipes. Hopefully this is an inspiration how you can use different herbs as well.
This healthy recipe is easy to prepare and offers a pretty unique taste.
For two cups to prepare in a pan:
⬖ Add 300ml of plant-based milk (oat is creamy and adds a light and natural sweet taste). 🌾
⬖ Add 2 crunched seeds of cardamom, or 1/2 teaspoon of powder.
⬖ Add 2 teaspoons (or 1 bag) of Rooibos. 🍂
⬖ Warm up and stop before boiling, let it infuse for 3 min.
⬖ Remove/seive rooibos and add 3 tablespoons of cacao.
⬖ Froth your beverage for the foamy layer and enjoy the 3 aromas exulting in your mouth.
