Matagalpa has a satisfying dark chocolate taste that is rich without bitter. I use 6 - 7 heaped teaspoons in 300ml of hot but not boiling water.
Shaken not stirred as a drink for two.

The bubbles come while shaking and the delicious fats blend into a smooth texture. The flavour is delicious but its the vibes that always fill me with gratitude for Nature that I really love.

The sky, the mountains, the trees in the rains. The people living under them, caring for the soil and diversity in forests.
To them I give thanks with my heart open.

Oh lieve mensen!

Ik weet niet eens meer hoe ik bij jullie terecht ben gekomen, maar ik hou van jullie en van de fijne cacao! Ik ben begonnen om dit ceremonieel te gebruiken, maar in afgeslankte versie gebruik ik hem ook als start van de dag op zeer regelmatige basis. Het is zo veel gezonder leven dan zonder! En dan ben ik ook nog eigen wijs, dus ik combineer de cacao met rauwe melk van de boer, dat vind ik het allerlekkerste. Water doet het voor mij persoonlijk niet en ik blijf liever puur natuur. Dan uiteraard echte fijne honing er in (afhankelijk van behoefte lavendel, paardenbloem of wat anders) en vaak kaneel. Of gember. Of anijs. Of kardemom. Of een combinatie. Luisteren naar mijn lijf wat ik nodig heb. Een moment van rust in mijn soms chaotische leven zodat ik dagelijks vanuit mijn hart blijf reageren.

Deze cacao is mijn favoriet. Heerlijke smaak en een echte hartopener. Iedere ochtend geniet ik van een heerlijk kopje tijdens het journallen.
