Sometimes the deepest journeys happen not far away, but right where you are. A home retreat is a way to step out of daily demands, slow down, and return to yourself. With simple practices and the support of ceremonial cacao, you can create a nourishing space to reset your body, mind, and spirit.
Set an Intention
A retreat begins not with an activity, but with an intention being your anchor, and creating a soft bedding in your home where you can cocoon for the entire day. Plan this ahead! We invite you to take a moment to set your intention, which can be your red thread throughout the entire day:
- What do you wish to cultivate during this sacred pause you are creating for yourself: rest, creativity, reflect on relationships, inducing changes in your life, etc.
- What are you ready to release?
Take a moment to write it down and let your pen guide you, trust your intuition.

The Invitation
This retreat is not about what you leave out, but also about what you invite in. Bring awareness to what you eat, what you take in through the senses, and how you move this day.
- Digital Detox: Put your phone, laptop, and screens away. Let your nervous system soften by stepping out of the rat-race. Tip: let loved ones know you’ll be unavailable. Create a container of stillness.
- Awareness of nourishment: Choose simple, wholesome meals; colourful vegetables, whole grains, warm soups, nourishing teas. Eat slowly, without distraction, and notice the textures, flavours, and effects on your body.
- Nature meditation & Silent Walks: If you can, step outside. Walk slowly, in silence, without a planned route, let your intuition guide you. Notice the rhythm of your steps, the air on your skin, the sounds around you. Sit for a while in nature. Let your senses guide you back into connection with the living world.
- Yoga or mindful movement: let the intention be to move with awareness, not performance. Roll out your mat and let your body guide you. This could be yoga, gentle stretching, or free-flowing movement to music. Let movement be a doorway to breathe more deeply, and to release what has been held.
Closing with Cacao or a nice herbal tea
Return to your cacao or tea to close the retreat. Hold your cup, breathe in gratitude for the time you created, and reflect on what you experienced. What do you carry forward into daily life?
Write down your reflections, and thank yourself that you’ve carved out that time for yourself and that you had the capacity to gracefully move through it, with whatever has been arising.
By slowing down, eliminating stimulants we can become aware of what is moving inside of us.
This home retreat is not about doing more, but about coming home; to your body, your breath, and your heart.
